    Stolen R1 in pommy land

Just saw on prime, a guy dropped his bike and the rego came up as another bike.
it was a 199? R1 (same colour as Sparky Bills) that the guy "bought" from "motorcycle trader" outside a servo for "um..... 6000, 6400 pounds"... and didn't get a receipt.
now, I dunno about you, but I know exactly how much my bike cost...

aren't log books required to sell bikes in Pomgolia?
    did anyone else see it??

    btw, they blurred his face....

Yes - sort of. When you sell any vehicle in the UK the vendor is supposed to fill out the vehicles log book (V5), giving the name and address of the new owner. They then tear of this section of the log book and send it off to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in Swansea. The new owner also fills out the relevant section of the log book and send it back to the DVLA.

However, if the vendor fails to fill out the appropriate section of the V5 document and simply hands the document over to the new buyer the DVLA normally send the registered owner a letter stating that somebody is attempting to register a bike in another name. Quoting something along the lines of. "Failure to respond to this letter within X (?) days means you agree to the transfer of ownership."
