Help me set up the rear please!

Have recently had a Ohlins installed & have just returned from completing this years GC for another year...the problem I have is @ 500 - 600kms in I started to feel an intense pain coming through my hips.. look at how many km's you've done I hear you say , well prior to the installation I near had this issue & last years GC did not present the current issue with my hips. Can anyone throw some light on how to set this up correctly

Who did you get the Ohlins from?
Each time I have purchased shocks or front springs from Crown Kiwi they have come with a spring set for my weight and the damping adjusters set to a decent default.
Ohlins will probably have the default rebound and compression settings on their site - they used to.
I've never experienced hip pain on any of my bikes, are you sure it's not your hips that need servicing?

Good heavens man. You've just ridden nearly 1,700km in 24 hours on a Blackbird. The last thing I would be looking to adjust would be the Ohlins rear suspension.

Please elaborate, is it one we supplied through a dealer? If so what are the sag settings and clicker settings, did you consult the manual and mounting instructions ( that detail the base settings )? What is your personal height and weight, passengers, etc? It may need simple adjustments or a spring change. As forums are often anonymous of who it is thats posting that is why I ask.
