    Mystery lines?

    Anyone know about plastic and what would cause these lines to appear overnight???.........for the record they don't want to seem to come off in a hurry..........i'm at a loss to explain it

    Ill happily admit my eye sight is crap, but what lines? I'm guessing its going to be real obvious and ill look like a knob.

    hahaha........2slo,the lines that run down from top to bottom on an angle are'nt sposed to be there

    do thery come off at all thru washing?
    is it a sticker or plastic?
    has it been left in the sun?
    we may just go where no ones been

    Nah it's weird.....rode in the rain on Sat,tucked it up in the garage till this morning...and bang they jump out at me,it's the factory number board

    strange, it looks like a stretch mark, like its been bent or something?
    but from where its centered youd have to be a genius to crash that part into something, otherwise it can do that from heat, but it was raining so dunno really

    have a look behind the number board- you will prob find that they correspond with the stiffening ribs on the back. My guess is that the hot sun has somhow caused a release of stresses in the plastic and the pattern has come to the surface

    Aaaaaaaaaaaah, as I guessed it was obvious. I agree with Cave Weta. Not that it helps.
    On second thoughts, Cave Weta is def wrong, anyone half blind can see its not that.

    put some scuff stuff over it, the lines will go away and it will be protected from scatches

    if you have had deagreaser on it that can leave shit arse line had it happen to my 426 it had a full black plastics kit on it got some over spray on it which rans and left lines. i found silicone spray on regular worked to get rid of them.

    its how it has been extruded/ injected depend on type of plastic
    you cant get rid of it as its embedded

    plastic fabricator/welder here if you need a hand ! will work for beer/bourbon/booze
