Good to know the KBrs Are there !!!!!!

Well me and Mrs Quasi were looking forward to a good hard days shopping in Auckland Yesterday, we were keen to get a good start so away we go in the VW VR6 , we were keen to give the VW a good run as we just put a new water pump, tappet gasket and new Engine mounts on it, so it was all go for us.
We took of at 8.00 am for the trip to Auckland so we could start early and beat the traffic, we just gave a WRX a little play and pulled off the H/W into Manuakau, I say to Pula ,"its running really good" a second later the engine oil light flashes and CUT NO MOTOR NO POWER, DEAD !
I think FUCK IVE COOKED IT
Luckily we were right outside the SHell and managed to glide into a Free parking space at the garage (lucky eh? )
Got out scrated my bald head look at the oil level, all was good, but why no power, why wont the car start.
Mrs Quasi hit the phone joined AA ( I hate AA) and we started to wait.
I continued oozing my vast mechanical ability (NOT) out under the bonnet and noticed a electrical connector in a small gap between the Fan and the Extractors that was in unplugged, my mechanical aptitude said to me "this isnt right" and I plugged it together ( we are into the second hour now )
I tried the Engine and BINGO all went, I got some tape on it to hold it all together, burnt me arm in the process which has a bandage on it now, FUCK !!
And away me and Mrs Quasi go, lined up at the traffic lights at Manuakau, light goes green, MOTOR DIES FUUUUUCCCCCKKKKK!!!!
get out push the car back with some trick hand signalls of the throat cut variety to the 7 cars behind me and we get the car back to the garage.
(no one helps you in the modern gargage do they )
I think how am I going to hold this connector together for the trip home ??

BINGO, there has got to be a KBr around with nothing better to do than help my sorry arse, thinkning thinking BINGO Motoracer !!!
I ring MR no answer Paula Rings Motoracer INSTANT answer (whats that all about )
Within a few ......seconds MR TIME and 1/2 an hour real time MR came flying around the corner on FF's trusty stead, knee down, sparks flying roars into a 20 metre stoppie and stops within a 100 mm of the carwash machine
all done with one hand on the bars, in the other a 20 kg bag of cable ties.

Armed with this awesome invention we got the thing tied together and we set of Aprehensively at first but confidently shortly after, YEs we did our Shopping and YES we got home in one Piece
And YES the mechanic from the VW shop got A fucken Rocket for breaking the Electrical socket when tightening the engine mount bolts up and completely failing to Attach the Air intake system to the ENGINE FOR FUCKS SAKE !!!!

so the day was saved. Bi g BIG thanks to MR and as a final comment, it kinda doesnt matter where you are in NZ if you are a KBr you WILL get some help from another member, and that is fucken great !!

    Thanks Motorracer
Ive run out of fucks to give

The Force is working well......or, is it The Brotherhood of Bikers (Bob)?? That's a great story. Well done to the onehanded angel.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Nice to see there are some good people that can be relied on. Thats why us as bikers should stick together

    Cool

But the question is did Quasi cancel the call out to AA?

They (AA) usually do get there in an hour... but if many others were down like quasi then its first in first served..lol. I have used AA a number of times for my car or other people's cars....
I also always ask about how long is the waiting time and they usually can give you a fair idea on how you are gonna be waiting...

But well done MR.. to the rescue again... does that man ever work....lol.

There is one advantage about a sports bike - ya can carry stuff under the pillion seat... but a cruiser dont have that.... and sometimes carrying a backpack can weigh quite a bit after a while...
