    Brought an old dirtbike

First time post in this forum.
Been into road stuff mainly, rode dirts over 15 yrs ago, and had a mid 90s TT350 up until a couple of years ago just to blast around the lifestyle block, but sold it when the current land we brought is more suited to quads.

    Anyway, enough of the rambling.
As a lad at high school in the late 70s, I grew up with XRs, mainly A series twin shockers, had heaps of them, but always hankered for a bike I used to see blasting around town as new with their supatraps.

Been looking for a while and finally found one on TM.

    78 Suzuki SP370.
    All there, goes.
Looking to restore, maybe make road legal again, has all the lights etc on it.
Maybe road tyres, on spare rims, dunno.

    Takes me back..........

Anyway, where does one find bits and pieces for such an oldie nowdays.
I have no idea, are there places in NZ that keep bits and pieces for such, are agents worth a look?

    Any contacts would be appreciated.

Went to post a pic but did'nt work, will try again.......

    SP370 eh,

These were fairly rare but probably not in that sense. They didn't sell too many as at the same time earlier in 1977 I believe the first of the XT500cc came out. Was no comparison between the 370 and the 500

If the beer addiled brain can remember they came out in a dark red and also a calf shit yellow. Not the normal Suzuki yellow.

But yeah its well worth looking after.

Not sure yet, will tear it down and do all the usual replacements of bushes, bearings, tired components etc, assess everything.
Depends whether I make it road legal.
