Possible annual race event ... need help

Early days yet but someone has found a bit of road that might be worth racing on.

Those examining it need help... it's a long circuit (13km...) with about 2 km clay/unsealed. To take this further and rule it in or out (and design it up properly) the following is needed:

    1) Who is the appropriate Racing Body that would control this. There are designs on putting it on within the week following Boxing Day/Cemetary circuit so possibly/ultimately some big names (and a big circuit) could result...
    2) What's a reasonable pack down and relocation time for anyone racing to relocate, recover and set up from Cemetary Circuit
    3) Is there anyone out there able to help design up the dirty bits for the motards and inspect the 11km of sealed stuff for them
    4) What else needs considering?

    1) MNZ

    2) You only need a day or two in between to allow people to pack up and travel to it, this year before Taupo, they don't even get that

    3) no idea

4)Within a week of the Cemetary circuit you have the Taupo meeting, Nelson street race and the Nationals starting soon after that

With the Tri series if it continues there is already a considerable amount of racing within a short time frame around that time of year

You're looking at having to find a huge amount of manpower to marshall a circuit that long as every gate, cross road, corner etc will have to be marshalled

A decent pit area that isn't likely to flood

How you will restrict spectator access to "no go" areas

You're probably talking a rural area so if there's any housing then acess to and from for the home owners

And yes that is a terrible time of year for road racers well it would be great if you could afford to race everything!! But being a motard event it would be cool cause we dont have to worry about wrecking our bikes right before nationals

Would Motards want to run a 11km road course to do 2km of Dirt?

Yeah for sure, most motard riders will find that too much id say.... you can be creative with dirt sections but 11ks of road may be a bit of a stretch, it needs to be quite tight for motards

What do you need for inspecting the 11km of sealed roads?
