The GN's got a couple of chips on the tank. I thought it was still possible to get those small tins of paint with the little brush, bit like the wife's nail varnish, but the shops don't seem to stock them. Any ideas ? It's the metalic red colour)

Under the seat (or tank) you should find the paint code,if so take it to an automotive pain supplier (shops will list in yellow pages) and all should be good.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
Thats a cunning stunt. Thanks for that.
Also Repco (in pukekohe at least) have a stand of touch up paints in little applicator bottles with brushes and spray cans for bigger jobs. No guarantees that they'll match your colour perfectly tho.
You may even find that there is a nail polish which is a very close match
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I've got a similar problem on my old SR250, the front of the seat has worn away the paint in a few patches and there's a wee bit of bare metal/ light rust.
I've put some silicon spray on it to stop it getting worse (this seemed like a good idea at the time, but looks pretty foolish typed out.)
Reckon a bit of nail polish will do the trick or do I need to sanding back and all that rubbish?
