Ideas for mounting bikes on trailer without tiedowns

Any ideas on how to mount bikes safely and fast to trailer, im sick of tiedowns, short on cash but not talent, so that means making my own but i can weld and have the steel and the workshop

they would have to be galv nails wouldnt want them going rusty
i also thought supaglue but i would just be tempted to sniff it, im still missing skin on my nose from when the doc removed the last tube

Had some rope , but i lost it in the ...bedroom somewherei think its still attached to the bed cant undo the knots

come on FLANGMASTERJ thats how we dropped the bikes last time
the g forces round those 50 kph corners at 100kph the wife and kids just cant hang onto the bikes ..was going to attach the wife and kids to the trailer with the nailgun and ropes ..but they got shitty and stormed off... what who me what did i do?

so go buy a couple of heavy duty turn buckles....weld d-rings to trailer and turnbuckle down the bikes.....

If you have any rope lying around,
1. Put the bike on the trailer and put the side stand down
2. Tie the rope to the left handlebar (the lowest one) and tighten
3. Lean the bike to the right hand side by using your body weight, and get someone to tie the right handlebar to the trailer and tighten rope
4. Put side stand up.
If you have done it right, the forks will be keeping the bike in one place, I myself have used this method many times and have not dropped a bike, or you could make a small frame.

Turnbuckles are a cool idea ,slightly time consuming to do up, but i have the problem of the outer foot pegs hanging over the trailer sides which makes attaching the turnbuckles rather tricky.

Thanks WOLFRIDER ... but whats a side stand..thats what ya have legs for.ropes all good but much like tiedowns.. sorta like skunks idea even though its still got tiedowns..but really want to get away from having to tie anything down

ever seen the levers they use to chain loads down on trucks. I recon with a bit of steel and rope you could make something similar that would pull tight with one swing of the lever
