    Why look for an alternative to Tiedowns? Keeping the shockies fully compressed with tiedowns can't be good for the seals over long trips.

    Why not run a length of steel box section across the trailer at the right height so it sits under the cradle with a couple of U-bolts that loop around the cradle and locks the frame down onto the bar. A couple of big cotter pins to slip through the Ubolts instead of nuts. Brackets on the sides of the trailer to slide the length of cross section through.

    yep we always use fork brace.. nice peice of 4x2 with foam on the ends and never had leaky seals.... yet.. shit i just know that now ive said it.... tomorrow the bloody fork seals are gonna start leaking.. i should learn to keep my big mouth shut

    what about an upright either side of trailer,with a cross bar at handlebar height.
    then just tie the handlebars to crossmember,secure back wheel down.
