Muppet he aint bloody Moran and dip shit he is. Never seems to amaze me the amount of dickheads on our roads who have no concideration for anyone else on them. It wankers like this who kill innocent road users and would show no remorse in doing so. So glad u got thru it Nasty and credit to you for doing what u did and standing the bike up at the time.

(I'm sure those who never ever cross double-yellows also never ever go over 100 km/hr..., 'cos, those speed limits are there for a reason...)

Not sure that I implied crossing double yellows is always dangerous?
There are times when its fuckin' frustrating as hell, double yellows where the oncoming lane is free, you get passed that area, and then theres traffic!!

On my last ride, Ixion was behind me and three cars, situation was as above.
Was thinking, I could get passed this lot with ease, but didnt. Its something that I wont do, my choice!...Ixion never asked me about it, I guess he figured that I do obey some laws.

Nice rant, Nasty. The Rimutakas provided the odd moment of entertainment today too for the Hitchers on their excursion. Why is it that dickheads in their lard-arse SUVs cannot negotiate a righthand corner without crossing the centre line? I hope that the fuckers collide precipitously with a much larger object than themselves. Something like an M1A1 would be nice.

Seems the season of the dickhead other road user has arrived in force! Lets not underestimate the stupidity of any other road user and sharpen up our "spidey skills" for summer.

Dang Nasty, that must have raised the short hairs a little bit!

Hope the rider of the other bike got as big a fright as you!

glad you both got through that ok. i hate haywards hill with a vengence. wont go near it for any reason on the bike, and am shaking the whole way in a car.

susan and i went to the bike show in hawera on sunday. coming back, just past waitotara on the passing lane... we overtook a car that was doing a steady 70k and then pulled back into the left lane to allow others past. we get around the corner and find ourselves staring at the arse end of a vehicle transport truck and trailer [the ones that take cars the dealerships] takes a few seconds, and we realise its actually fucking STOPPED!. no chance of getting back into the passing lane due to cars passing us. so glad susans car has good brakes. talk about a wake up call. we came to a halt safely, as did the slower car behind us. eventually we got back into the passing lane and proceeded past. the truck had hazards flashing, but the fucking trailer obviously wasnt hooked up. didnt get the name on the side or any other deatils, was too busy getting my heart rate back under control.

on the up side, the bike show was awesome!

myself, i'm guilty as of being stupid and a farkwit,on many occasions,be it on 2 or four wheels.
Yeah I plead guilty also. Sorry to hear you got a bad fright though, they are never very funny. I don't remember recently crossing double-yellows, but if I did I would remain very close to the vehicle I was passing - none of this swerving right into their lane..

Frights where no one was hurt and nothing was broken are the ones that heal the fastest.

Its not that scary? I ride over and back every day, you do get some idiots though. I seem to get cut off at the end of the passing lanes coz my bikes not the fastest, what they dont realise when they do cut me off is that I still need to slow down so I dont collide with them. Its always gonna be me that comes off seccond best!

Nasty - sounds like a cock, sadly theres still plenty to go round. Still I can be a cock too somtimes so meybe it was just a moment??

Yes it's often the Bikes coming the other way on the Rimus that scare me the most. However this monday it was some chap on a Red Hyobag. There were a long line of cars & not much chance of passing them all, but matey decided he was a hero & pulled some seriously dodgy manoeuvres to get past a bunch of us & cars. Gee we're all impressed wanker.

He got real close to a friend on his Busa. If you read this I wouldn't stop up the top for a while, if he recognises you he's gonna nose ya.

Fuck sake, some of these pricks take liberties with other's lives.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
