How about next year you make it three rounds with all rounds counting. Better for the masses IMHO. He he.

Sorry, can't make it but riding partner wanted to ride in the pro's. Fark that I want people to notice us and to get a big arse trophy like Chops...did he actually ever get one... do huskies ever really finish races...had to ask the question?

This will be a good series and bodes well for the future. Pity we will be out prunning trees over the weekend.

Look out for Danger riding his pumpkin!

I got one dont you worry!!

See how I feel on the day. Probably.
Seems most here would rather drive to Whakatane the following weekend than drive to Woodhill on Sunday.

Twice the displacement, twice the cost and a decibel problem, I'll pass on the inside brraaaap!!!

thats cause we made up our minds to put in the effort and do all the rounds and see how good a end result we can get. going to do it might as well do it properly i guess

Smashed my foot a good one on first lap, felt like I lost some toes, then again 2nd lap same place. Lucky it was the brake side or I don't think I could have continued. Spotted the stump on the third lap, it was a freshly cut stump just poking out of the sand on a slight corner and on the uphill side. Just enough to clip the outer toes. A friend smashed his on what we think was the same stump. Very painful but thats not why I DNF'd.
Simple fact was I was not fit enough. 2 weeks training (just riding) wasn't enough. Felt ok until the 4th lap, then the lats started hurting and I started riding like even more of a bunny than what I am. Getting too old for this sh1t.
    But I'll still do Riverhead!

Awesome course though, one of the better trails I've ridden, lots of windy stuff!
