The letters following the model describe its use. ie sx=supacross mx=motocross exc= is enduro x country i think- this prob most suitable for the type of riding you describe. anything with -f is a four stroke.

So in summing up you are probably after a 250exc-f

    Hope this helps

Correct but as Booom states there is no MX.

Mine is a 300exc-e Enduro Cross Country - Electric start(sometimes) Two stroke not 4 stroke.

There used to be an MXC. There is also XC and XCW, generally not widely available here but there are some around.

    There is no 200EXC-E.

Do you know what the XC and XCW stand for (are for) Danger? There is the odd on that pops up on trade me.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

XC is for Cross Country, no wide ratio box or lights, comes with twin chamber forks and 18-20 offset triple clamps.

XCW Cross Country Wide ratio is very much like our EXC, but again I think it has no lights std, but it does have the option to plug and play lights and has a wide ratio box like the EXC.
