Yamaha R1 power restriction

Hi everyone, does anyone know how to check if 2002-2003 R1 has power restriction? and if it does how to remove it?

Is it a used import from Japan?

If it won't go over 180km/h then the restrictors are still in place.

mostly its wired in headlight housing.and normally it a rewire to a good earth...should be a small box with a couple of wires..cut and ground one of the wires...sorry not sure which one as is different to the xjr...however they use same lume..have done it to my bike..via diagram on xjr.uk.site
