Oh yeah, Definately looking forward to getting out for some serious riding.

Leaning towards a V/Parallel twin so I'm not ever likely to be classed as 'fast'

Congratulations.. ! Orewa's a pretty good route for the test.. though when I did it, it was absolutely pissing it down!, though all good for the challenge..

If you like the Kawa's, try the ER6n/f/Ninja 650, all great bikes if you like the parallel twin.. I have a Versys (same frame and engine but higher ride height) Love it, but unfortunately done my back in so not much riding for me anytime soon

    Have fun testing..

Yeah, the ER-6's are definately a possiblity, damn, I can't think of a way to word this that won't get crass comments, ah well, The reason I'm leaning towards a twin is because most IL4s seem to be too wide & tall for me to comfortably get my legs around & still have enough reach left should I have to manover them at low speeds on an off camber

I've just posted the GPX for sale so once shes gone I can REALLY start thinking about the next one

Nice one - Celebration time! Enjoy the extra freedom but journey at your own pace, don't feel pressured to start doing all the extras e.g. pillioning unless you are sure you're ready. (I don't know you so you may already have been doing that stuff before getting your 6F, but it's just meant as friendly advice). Again, congratulations, nice to see more and more women gaining their fulls.
I lahk to moove eet moove eet...

Yep, its definately a bit of a shock to go from sitting comfortably with both feet flat on the ground to having to stretch to get tippy toes down! There is a very nice Z750 at Spectrum though, out of my price range but they luv me so much that I'm allowed to take it out anyways, Hell, one of the guys offered me his own bike for the day if I want

I may pillion a friend on the GPX, but once I upgrade they'll have to wait a while until I get comfortable with the new toy.

There are a few hidden factors that will affect your ability to flat foot them. Although a seat may be low on paper, it may be a wide seat, which uses up your legs as such, without any vertical gain.

A parallel twin, or vtwin, will be a narrower bike all round, simply because an inline 4 has 4 cylinders side by side. Gareth knows her, but Dan's mum now rides an er6 (not sure which letter is the naked, but hers is naked) which she likes a lot.

Just don't take paper measurements and stats as the be all and end all, a higher seat may be narrow, allowing better handling of the bike, although you may not think so.

Have fun... selling is a pain in the ass, buying is a pile of fun
