No way, they'll give out licenses to anyone, no matter how shit a driver they are, it's all about revenue. this is an example:
I have an old Mini still in my name in storage in Napier, the reg is on hold but had lapsed by 4 months cos i moved and the papers didnt follow me (funny how electorol enrollment can find me but LTSA cant). I went oline to renew the hold only to discover they want $65 for the 4 months reg that somehow it owes since the hold expired.
How does something that needs a WoF to get a reg owe money for something its not entitled to have? it hasn't seen a road in years let alone been on one.
GREED GREED GREED. It's illegal under basic legal principles of undue penalties and unjust laws but i can't afford to fight it. If i dont pay i get anal raped by baycorpse or i have to hand over the plates (which i cant do from down here anyway).
Expect more of THIS from LTSA, they dont need extravagant hairbrained schemes like there, they have perfectly functioning evil ones working here already.
