I'm relocating to Hamilton on Easter weekend so Sunday March 24th will be my final opportunity for a Wellington ride. I've decided for my final ride it's going to be to Sutherlands Hutt, so if you want to come along stick it in your diary.
For those of you who are that way inclined there's an event here: https://www.facebook.com/#!/events/471981159534058/
I know it's the same weekend as Barts's RRRR ride but unfortunately it's the only day I can ride and I can't spare the whole weekend to do Barts's ride.

Just made some changes to my DR myself ...New front 'knobblier' tyre and pro circuit slip on muffler ...also removed a 2" nail from my rear tyre which annoyingly scuppered any plans for a ride over the weekendnew tube gone in today .
Keen on some after work playing this week (except wed) if anyone is heading out .

Thinking of heading to the akatawara forest tomorrow for the first time ..permits obtained . has anyone any advice on a route to take thats novice to intermediate friendly etc ..we'll probably be avoiding the devils staircase and rock garden
if anyone fancies it your welcome to join ,just me and two mates so far.we're on drz400, klx400, drz250 all on road legal knobblies.
be heading from welly at around 11 ... gentleman's hours .have a 30th to attend tonight
can arrange a meeting point if anyone's keen
I'm keen but all booked up with family tomorrow.... Keep this thread up to date incase my plans change though. If you guys are novices I would just head in from the karopoti entrance and follow your nose to the first big river crossing; shallow but long, then head up the hill on the pram track and keep going til you hit perhams road and finish up at the mangakutukutuku entrance near paraparaumu. Take it easy though as it'll be busy in there tomorrow, and meeting a quad going full tilt head on wouldn't be fun:-(
