"The Plan so far is to meet at the Petrol station at the south end of Shannon, just before you leave Shannon towards Levin ready to leave at 9.30am"

please can we meet at the Horsemans Cafe (north end of Shannon) instead. I have certain medical conditions that can only be controlled by large doses of caffeine.

I'll be leaving home about 8.45 if anyone wants to keep me company....

No worries Mark. Meeting at the Horseman's Cafe is a good idea, I couldn't remember the name of it. I have updated the Calendar to reflect the new meeting place.

Merv Daylight savings ends this weekend, so you get an extra hour to get up and going.

Is that on the SH1, or buried in the township? I might meet you guys at it, I am probably staying in Kapiti Saturday night.

    Cheers

Having a look at my tyre options. Non road legal knobbies, part worn IC Trail Winner that I'm hoping will last most of the way to and from the Brass Monkey, a mostly worn K750 that the KLR came out of the box with and a brand new Kings "thing" that is so hard you could strike sparks off it. Might have to go and have a fossick in the skip behind Motorad or Wgtn M'cycles.

Apart from that I have permission to attend.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
