we had a good ride today.
shot up Mt Dick, always great view to be had.
then we flew out to riversdale, and wrecked the beach, skideys all over it, sweet, had a nice cupper at the store and headed home over the homewood road, back to gladstone.
sorry my new camera has broken and i cant get the pics and movie off my memory card.
.....everything just seams to brake easy now days....

    Card reader?

I know, you just don't want everyone to see the evidence of you getting roosted on the beach by the Black Beastie LOL!

Yeah great fun today, nice cruisy ride and good to meet Paul on his first outing on the PD that he bought from my mate Phil - its seemed to go very nicely and it looks great! Thx for a great ride Joe, Paul, & Paul! It WAS wicked fun on the beach and Homewood Rd was beautiful to ride thru!
    Cheers, Dave

No wipeouts today thank god and the back is mostly ok, nothing unbearable altho on the corrugations it farkin hurt, however...........

got home and noticed the rear exhaust mount has lost a bolt somewhere along the line!

I DID have a few wicked front end shimmies today at 120-140kph, I guess the wheels DO need balancing/putting back to round after all!

    Cheers, Dave

that could just be the D606's
my klr started shimmying at those speed when I put 606's on - got better as the tires wore out.

godd to hear that you kept the rubber side down.

    Isnt that a first?

Aah that's interesting about the D606's cheers Mark! TBH I should have the wheels balanced anyway after such a big impact, the front fo sure, and having had new tyres on too; couldn't hurt - if the Trailwings sell on TM I may do that for peace of mind!

And.... excuse me but I HAVE had crash free rides! There was one, now let me think, hmmm, errr, well, ummmm............ Howie's ride up thru the dams and wind turbines( no crash altho I did almost go straight off the side of the ravine when overcookin a gravel corner but saved it at the last second!)! Phew, was strugglin to think of one for a mo!

Can you balance tube tyres with rim locks??????

I doubt it, but good luck anyway. I think these style of tyres aren't really designed for those speeds.

you might get beeter balancing just by rotating tyre on rim so that the rim and tyre are cancelling each other out....is your rim still round?

The front is pretty much round. Paul(Howie) & I checked the rim on Easter monday the day after the crash and it seemed to run true, no obvious flat spot anyways! We did release some torque off the front forks, sure hope they are not bent!
