Clevedon, 35mins from Stroud!!! Bloody hell, its turning into a West Country Ride !

I like the ADV des Nations idea!

You'll like the adv group here Gav - good blokes that are there for their mates when needed, with great sense of humours! AND, Kiwis GET british sense of humour as theirs is bloody similar! Half these buggers are more sarcastic than brits LOL! We DO have a good laugh!

    Yet To Be Confirmed

It looks highly likely that - provided it aint raining - Dave (Palladin) and I might be going for a local potter on Saturday.

I was thinking (subject to Daves input) of meeting in Waikanae for coffee at 10ish before heading up the Akatarawa Rd to Oldins Rd and going into the hut for lunch. Then on through the Aka's to Upper Hut for coffee before heading back in to the Karapoti and through the Mungatooks to Paraparaumu for more coffee.

It will be slippery as mucusy rat snot and good tires will be needed to have a minor chance of staying vertical (I will be on the DT as the back tire on the KLR is nearly bald and would be useless).

Dave - what do you think?

you wanna swap bikes for the nasty bits

the DT is a mountain goat and it has the serious tires I put on for cnut hill still on it and rimlocks so you can run stupidly low tire pressures....

Would love to join you guys as I live in waikanae, but Saturday is family day, swimming etc.

Looks like being pretty wet though. 2 weeks ago I rode from the Hutt over to pram through the karapoti entrance and I'm thinking that you may have some issues with the rivers being a bit high? worth a go though. You'll have better tyres than us I'm sure, so If you still go in there- then try and make the orange hut, up the hydro road. The hill just after the river crossing was impossible for us due to the super slippery clay. Give it a go and let us know how it went...

Good luck, we made it across on TW's on the main tracks, so you'll manage i'm sure.

    Sounds interesting ... good luck

I've put myold pre south 6000K Michelin baja last weekend cause the 11500K baja I had was too smooth for commuting

So I guess it could actually handle the terrain, it seems very unlike at this stage that I will be able to join tho

Sorry Dave, if u were counting on my too distract quick camera action from Mark ... it will be all on you ... I'll be waiting for the action shots

i wouldnt count on it dave.
as now you have more grip on the back.which will dig in deeper to grip on, which will in turn help lift the front of the bike up over your head.

i was out and about today.
should have let me know you where coming out this morn mate.
