I would love to be there for that but I think it would classify as a 'bridge too far' with 'her indoors'

now if the weather forecast was good then it might be worth the risk

Marks, I won't be riding this W/E. I was made to promise to stay home (& it was the last available w/e before Xmas for me too)

...But instead of being family or house time, it is beginning to look like a work weekend instead.

its not called toppys any more mate.. its tuis or some thing like that..
ill come down to featherston and ride to toppys with ya..
but wont go in to southerlands.

No. It was a team effort pushing the bike up the last few metres.

I didn't have another go because I'd "made it". (Never mind the fact I was totally rooted from the first couple of attempts).

Oh, and the view from the top....simply awesome.

I must get in there again, real soon.

(but Sunday is too soon)
