looks like you both had a great ride - keen to hook up with you sometime soon - cheers S
those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind..
I've been thinking about sorting out an overnighter up this way. There's quite a few good roads/tracks around the North Wairarapa/Southern Hawkes Bay. I could easily add a few optional 'technical' sections. It's just so far for you Welly boys to come, it would be nice to make a weekend of it.
It'd have to wait for Summer though,#2 is on it's way, and will put me out of action in the spring.

Congrats Bart.
Since last week was winter solstice/longest night who is interested in a night ride thru Odlins Rd to the hut? The forecast is good for Saturday night maybe leave the carpark at 7pm.
Is there anyone else coming?
Eugene if we postpone the night ride until summer we might get some riders. So lets do that.
How did you like the Moonshine trail ride last week? I did 2 laps and the bike swapped ends 3 times on the greasy claybut no damage or injuries

Hi Andy Mac,
Would have liked a night ride through odlins but missed the thread and was busy at the time, i have been through a week ago and there was plently of dry fire wood in the hutt to burn and warm our hands for the ride out if we decide to go in the future.
STORMTROOPER
Ride was awesome (and challenging). Ended up having to skip the first section, was a little bit too much of the pine needles for me to keep moving. Managed to stay on the bike the whole time, however i did have to have a second go at some of the sections to get through.
My grips started to come loose due to all the moisture (read: very wet), so in the end decided not to go for a second loop.
Will be keen for a future night ride. A little fire and some marshmellows sounds pretty good.
Any of you Wellington lot keen to catch up for a beer / swap a few lies thurs 2nd arvo-evening ??
I know you are all just sitting there waiting for an excuse to go to the pub
We're flying over to your fine city visiting family , bit of time on our hands ... seems like a good way to fill it in .
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
