I haven't completely ruled this out yet, I;ll keep an eye on the weather forecast this afternoon.

At the moment it's improved to 'Fine spells, but scattered showers also, especially during the afternoon and evening. Northerlies' which sounds do'able.

Eddie, as you know Gus has some issues at present. I'll try to get across, but will likely be late, & will maybe need to catch up with you over there (provided always I can achieve better running than I have at present).

The weather over in the Wairarapa doesn't look too bad on Metservice. No rain forecast after v.early morning.

My bike barely idles at present as I've just bolted it back up today with new jetting and haven't had a chance to get the idle sorted.

I wasn't planning on stopping for coffee, mainly cause I don't drink it. There's a chance I may get over ridden on that decision though.

Only 5 or 10 mins. Dropping stuff off at wedding show and leaving truck. Sometimes get held up but should be there by 10.

Late alternative or alternative for those who are late! I will be going into Odlins Rd, leaving Rimutex at 10:30.

Odlins Rd is in good condition and is clear of fallen trees - perhaps from the nine 4WDs that were coming out. Unfortunately it started drizzling at the hut and didn't clear for 1 1/2 hours. How was the weather at Ocean Beach?

Ocean Beach was stunning, though it was raining on us before we got back past East-West access road.

Ocean beach was great. Weather fine and no ocean swell. The high cliffs hid the approaching weather bomb so we were able to enjoy the beach in blissful ignorance with no idea that we would soon be drenched.
