Wait til you see the pictures of the carnage from Odlins today!
Awesome day but geeeeeeeeez it was challenging on the 2nd half of Odlins down to the hut, or more acurately having to come back up from the hut!
AndyMac & I took Junkmanjoe for his first ride over the Pram track afterwards too - funny but the Pram track seemed like a piece of p*ss after Odlins, haha!
I now totally LOVE my DR, it felt awesome and much more confidence inspiring than the KLX for some reason, sure pulls like a tractor. And it now has several battle scars, but hey its an adventure bike so who cares!
And apparently DR's know how to do summersaults!!!!!!!![]()
Cheers, Dave
sonds interesting, so how did the KLR go?

Looked like Mark was havin a blast on the KLR - will leave him to fill in details, and Jezzas KTM was awesome to watch(&listen to!). Andymac showing what you can do WITHOUT knobbies was awesome as usual, Michael was Mr. Nimble on the GasGas and Joe was his usal Mr. Steady (altho he finally arsed off in front of me, which was a bonus!).
Was an awesome day and the "sense of achievement" quote certainly fit the bill when we finally arrived back at the Akatarawa summit car park.
Thanks to Marks for getting it organised and to all the guys for their camraderie, assitance after my offs, and encouragement to go for it!
Battle scarred DR or not, I had a total blast, altho I feel totally knackered now!
Cheers, Dave

Top ride today guys. I'm a bit stiff & sore & have pumped arms after those rocky trails. Hard to believe it took 4 hours to go only 37 km, to Waiotauru hut & return. Mind you we all seemed to appreciate the many breathers.
Going to hut, 2nd half past the tank traps.
