I'm not doing this round now guys.

My riding buddy has screwed his Knee so thats the free accomodation at his mates place and gas sharing out. And I twisted the ankle again this morning on my run, same one that I shagged at the sandpit last time out with Barty and Rupe.

Also bought my youngest boy a 06 CRF150 tonight so all the spare funds have gone to the kids again rather than me going to Matata.

Still keen on another round though. Still gotta prove I can finish a lap yet!!!!

Good luck to all that are going!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Looks like we still going. That's me the wife and the two youngest don't know about the others as there all into exams now. Probably go down the friday and stay in the landcruiser ( haven't sussed this yet but reckon on taking out the back two seats and putting down the front two) Don't fancy camping if its wet and motels will just make it stupidly expensive.

I'm not travelling down on the saturday as it just knackers me out and we need to be there for 0830 for the kid to sign on.
When you arrive Aaron/Rupert look for the V8 landcruiser I'll have a small trailer on the back.

You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
And now a third thing a bloody big gun to shoot theives with!

Might see you on the road A&R. We'll be leaving at about 3.00 from Helensville. Be at the BP Papakura about 4.00pm

It will be a slow trip for us as we have the big trailer to sleep in. Saying that we have 4 bunks in it so your 2 may crash out there if they want.

Might have to exchange accomodation for 2 for a tow out of the mud as I'm towing with the car.

    Well, report time.

    This was as expected.
This course is just the same as it has been for the last couple of years. In essence its 16k of MX track and all the locals from the shire whom ride this area 20 x times a year come out to have a blast. Nothing wrong with that but they are purely MX riders and this track is just a MX track. There was maybe 200mtrs of single track a slightly bumpy down hill.

So the man with the biggest gonades won not the man with the skill factor.

It would have been nice if for the $55 the organisers had done some work and put in some new pieces.

I won't be doing this next year unless it rains and some sense of skill factor is required. I mean since when does a local Greece ISDE 2008 silver medal winner enter into clubmens. The winner of the Woodhill round whom is a true clubby rider teatering on expert came 20th.

    Yes, it hammered me.

I'll give you a run down on the results when they all get on the net on Sunday/Monday and we can see who is leading the GNCC Kiwibiker league table

All I can say is it was a nice day fastdry dusty and I've got a nice bruise and graize on my right hand thigh at this point in time I can hardly walk (sympathy please)

Also met some nice new friends as we stayed the friday night

Like KTMBOYs new trailer, very smart - just jealous mate! Reckless you missed a good bash I reckon you would have done better here as no trees to really hit. Its just like racing on a Mr Motorcycles trail ride (Glen murray last year springs to mind) . Barty5 as ususal was right up there and I just missed catching Rupecopp but more about that later I'm signing off for a rest.

Yeh was a very hard pack track very quick ans as KTM boy said lots of locals how know the track like their right hand. Dust was a major problem left you gagging for a drink. All in all was good. The cattle yards showed up most of the locals i think as they all thought they knew where the track was going to go and got it wrong go place to make up places on the 1st lap i got 12 of them there.
Also so manage some mase plister on hands rather tender for now.

Ah, you should have come up to the Whangarei club CC today , about 5km of pines out of a 13km track, thing 50% Operau 50% Riverhead, one particularly awesome uphill I think you'd have loved, 3rd/4th gear tapped lots of wet clay & pinecones & water cutouts ( jumps ).
Personally I had a running battle with a branch & in the end it won & I got thrown off ( you could not see it going into sharp left hander, was on the tree you bermed off & shoulder height ) so am thinking skill factor is overrated, an open CC at the moment seems awefully nice, bloody trees.

    Results are Up.

    Rookies:

    Dammad1 : 15 overall, 12 overall in series
    Barty5 : 18 overall, 15 overall in series
Me : 42 overall, 55 overall in series
    A&R : 45 overall, 60 overall in series

    Clubman

ktmboy : 33 overall, 8 overall in series.

There is also age group and engine size but can't be bothered to look through that.

Looks like a couple of good kb battles are emerging in the rookies. If I can not crash so much like woodhill I might do a bit better on the next as it's tighter again. Enjoying the buzz of racing though as never done anything like this before, anyone who's thinking of giving it a go should try it.

I hate this dust - especially the clay dust -it grinds in your mouth and tightens my chest up on long trails.
I purchased a "Wolfsnout" last week - a foam filter that discretely fits inside your helmet mouthpiece and was absolutely amazed at the results today when I got to try it out. Man its like having a Twin Air filter for your mouth ,chest and lungs!
It s very comfortable and does'nt restrict breathing or vision in any way.Check this link out guys-
    http://www.offroadimports.co.nz/wolfsnout.htm
I also think they sell palm protectors to eliminate blisters as well.
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.

Nah, good going mate. There was a lot of fast local boys in the rookies for the day so you did well. Found it hard going and wasn't keen on the fast stuff, but had fun.
