    I remember well the protests when the initial re-licensing plan was released; not only did the LTSA grant extensions for those with less than a year to their x5th birthday, they also lowered the price significantly.
    But the system is a rip-off - 40 NZ pesos for a renewal is about 4 or 5 times what it should be.

    An unknown benefit of coming to Police notice more often is that you don't forget to renew your licence. (or so I've been told)
