    Question Thanking Cage Drivers?

As I was driving (cage) home from work today, I realised that on the whole, I don't get any thank you waves from bikers who I move over for.

Whenever someone moves over for me to pass in the same lane, I always give a nice big wave. I think it's a good idea if everyone does it, as more people will move over, and be aware of bikers.

So, what do you do then?

Hmm, I WAS going to make a poll with this post, but it seems as if I'm not afforded the opportunity :confused2

I wave to all bikes I see, just while I'm walking. So if you're ever around Boganville and see a kid wave at you, think Cryhavoc!

same as you mate, always try and give a thank you wave, its never fails to amaze me just how many are happy to pull over to let you get past.

Same. I always wave if a cage pulls over. I also wave if I have passed them a bit close going up the Rimatakas. I give a different kind of wave if cage drivers pull out to stop me passing too.

I always wave, well actually its a lift of the hands in the direction of the cage. Acknowledge the driver for moving over...

In general I wave if the move was obvious. Anyway, I'm a happy biker and at times take perverse delight in waving at pedestrians and pretty much anyone who looks in my general direction, and because I'm wearing a helmet and they don't know who I am, they generally wave back, just in case they offend a friend I guess. It makes me feel all gooey inside when I get a wave back. (note to self - must get a life).

Sports bike riders won't wave to me on my dirt bike - but if I'm in a car and move over for them,I always get a wave....guess they don't know who I am without a helmet...

    Well

I don't wave at everyone I pass, and I don't get out the pom poms either! Just a small, quick thank you would suffice

Today, I moved over obviously for about 5 bikes, and only one waved back (To his credit, was a KB'er who had recognised the KB Mobile).

I wave - but only if I can do it without crashing. Then I introduce myself.

I have always waved for the people who pull over. :spudwave: I wave to the ones I push in front of as above. I do not like the cages that pull in to the shingle and expect me to pass when I do not want to pass. They have worked out that the more stones they throw up at me the sooner they can perve at the bike when I pass them.
