    Cheers guys and gals!!

Cheers for your wise advise Quasi, I will give buying the ZX10R or a R1 a miss then...

Bugjuice, Cheers man but Quasi is just being humorous.

crashe: I only rode by the book. It is only illigal when you go over 60 on a 50 zone and 110 on a 100 zone because there is a 10kmph allowance. Ofcourse they don't say that to you but they know it too. These figures don't really matter just as long as your are going along with the normal traffic flow and you don't go over the legal allowance.

    RR: When and where??

The cops can and sometimes do stop you for a lot less than 10k over - so dont get too cocky, zeRax. "But I was only doing 54, officer! Yes, but there is a school further down the road !"

Congrats Sudeep. Does this mean you're allowed to ride real bikes now? - yknow - like ZX10R's and things?

    Cheers man!

ZX10R?? Maybe I can afford the 2007 or 2008 model in the future but at the moment all this really means is that I get to race in Paeroa for which I required A MNZ Race licence and a NZ Drivers licence with a class 6 on it.

    Cool

    MR,
I have heard that they have dropped the leway down to 5km over the legal limit... not 10km anymore as its been for a long time.

    (meaning 50km leway 55km)

    Great effort.
I'm sure you will soon nail those stoppies.

Its all done on error tolerance ie of the gear they use, which used to be 10% which translates to 110kph for 100 and 55kph for 50, the certified error tolerance for the the gear they use nowadays is now 5% so yeah they can do you over 105 now, and have been able to for a while.

The demerit points table shows for 1 - 10kph over the limit is 10 demerit points. Now after asking a cop thats a bit dumb pulling someone up for doing over 52.5kph in a 50 he said yeah well the community cops probally wont seeing it means paper work so you might get a warning or a light flash but the highway patrol cops, the yellow striped cars, are on a quota system where they have to pull over a certain amount of vehicles a hour and also get bonuses for the extra fines the write over a set amount.

To sum this up, yeah it sucks, but watch out for the yellow fullas.

Yep, all I have to do is understand why oh why do I start veering off to one side after it is already rolling along nicely. Once I get that sussed, I am sure stoppies can be pulled at any speed, wet or dry.

Blakamin, as soon as I put together a road bike, I am there man! Even if I have to come to Welly on a FXR150 that I have got that needs a new engine right now. It'll be awesome to meet some of you Welly people who haven't come up this way or who aren't into track days. P.S. I am really keen on giving the Rimutakas a go too!

    P.S. Thanks soljan!

Throughout the whole test, I only scraped my toe once tho...

Came back and got told that I rode very well and that the instructor was impressed. LOL

Finally I can ride something bigger than a 250... legally!!
Lol MR, you are a risky young fella!! Congratulations on the "full" and may you ride accordingly to keep it!

Btw, sorry to hear about all the troubles back in your homeland. Hope your relatives aren't too badly affected?
