Looking at the attached bike in trade me, what do people think?

imo nice bike but I dont really know much
price is close to a new one but those ohlins must be worth a bit parts should be pretty easy to get
"The world is a strange sad place. Ride as often as possible and try not to think about it".
I've looked at that one on trademe sevral times, but it's out of my budget.
I haven't really found a problem with parts apart from when I'm trying to cut costs. Most dealers over here stock all the parts but aren't the cheapest, and spectrum can now get them. I've used Dirt Action Services and a fella called linton for most of my parts, he has every little bit, he's cheap, and his knowledge is top notch, he even keeps a file so he knows my jetting etc. I'd speak to him beore you make any decisions 033890080, a real helpful guy.
Quality is good for the engine etc, but the plastics can be a bit shit. The power dilevery will be smooth and not like a mx bike so depends what you want.
As for the suspension I personally know a guy with a 250 with ohlins front and back and he said it's the best handling bike he's owned, and he's had the orange ones.
Check thumper talk for a less bias opinion.
they come standard with ohlins, which as everyone knows are the greatest bike suspension experts in the world. they are the shit. i want one hard. not the most awesomely powered beasts but unbeatable with the right rider in the enduro stuff. so it depends what riding you wanna do

I have read alot of good reviews on them, but every time I have sat on one they just don't give me a real feel of quality.
I think you will find 7k is no where near the price of a new one.
i think new ones are similar prices to the equivalant KTM
iv seen new 07' 250s advertised in kiwiriders for similar money
piston kits are probably similar to jap bikes just get wiseco genuine, mine wasnt outrageous, 125 mind you
and my 07' 125 one is most awesome![]()
we may just go where no ones been
they were selling brand new 300cc 07s a few months ago (to make way for new stock)for $7800 and 250s for about $7250. i can't click that trade me link cos my computer at work blocks trade me. what model are we looking at here? what hours? what price?

the ohlins suspension is extra, that model is like the race version similar to the KTM sixdays models
standard they have sachs in the rear and marzocchi shiver forks![]()
we may just go where no ones been
some models also come with WP suspension but if the bike in the trade me ad has ohlins then i'll bet it came with the bike as standard

It's the "racing edition" I think, they are doing a 6 day one for 09, but I guess this one was just brought in for the 6day event.
they drop in price from new quite a bit as people worry about parts etc for them, but not a problem now. It's been on trademe for a while, give him a grind you might get a bargin.

I know that bike, I saw it Sunday on the way back from Taupo actually, I'll vouch for the trader, he's a good bloke & yeah it's pretty trick, the forks alone look awesome.
Just got a txt, 70 hours on the clock.
