Yeah she's a thirsty beast so you spotted my deliberate mistake let me correct myself, was meant to read 11km/ltr. Thanks for pointing that out

The seat looks like it'd be comfy, the front fairing/blade just looks wrong IMHO

I definitely think I will see if I can get my hands on one of those seats, should fit straight on. Definitely prefer the nose of the supermoto, rather than this nose, its a bit duke 690, I like the high front guards.

Devil... you were right... the 990sm hoists very easily in 2nd Just about calmly hooked 3rd, till it gently came back to earth

It's barking mad and if it doesn't turn you into a complete loon within half an hour of cocking a leg over the lofty 875mm seat height, I'll eat my Arai.

my mates SM is loverly all the way through to third (he doesn't mind as he's too shy to try ) I chicken out after that. Lofting her in 5th under power is very controlable as well, bloody neat machine. Was out @ the Whanga pub on Saturday with my mate on his SM & there was an 06 (payed 15k with 15k on the clock) out there as well, asked how long he'd had it, his reply was 2 sets of tyres (10000k's) nice answer & he loving it, best bike he's had so far by far. The bloody things are every where

gyah... the 08's seemed very thin on the ground to me (all new this year). Those that have them normally know just how good they are, everyone else has no idea I like having something that is completely unknown

I had some guy at Westgate once, walks up, "nice, I saw it, and wondered what it was... oh, its an off road bike, no wait, its on road... wait.... urrrr.... what is it?"

Still too timid to try too much, I ain't that good, and its 27-28k odd with all the bits

edit: A small part of me does wonder what the '10 will be... I have a reasonably good idea... is it cheating if the bike you fantasise about doesn't exist, and your current one is 5 weeks old?

I know what you mean about people not knowing what they are, the amount of times I've been asked "is that a Buell"

Don't worry the inner hoon will surface some time soon

& know it's not cheating, it's purely natural, I'm already fantasising about the RC8R & knowing in reality it's not going to happen
