    What Saul said.

I went from Fireblade 1000 to Kwak 636 and have had the 675 for 11 months now - done 22,000km on it. One long Sth island trip , no comfort problems. Cheap to service, no reliability problems and really good on fuel and tyres. Getting more tyre mileage than the 636.

The fairing offers reasonable wind protection too. Once up to speed the riding position is spot on. You sit high, so some found the sensation of 'falling' a long way over into a corner a bit ..scary at first, but it becomes second nature. Actually, stick Conti Attack tyres on and the sensation is gone. The standard tyres caused that 'falling over feeling" as you lean.

It's a super light bike, piece of piss to throw around in tight corners. Brakes are great. It doesn't reward slow riders. In fact it tells them to piss off and not to come back until they've grown some balls.

I've ridden nothing that feels so well planted when going into a bend fast. My decision to buy one was a bolt out of the blue. I had no intention to get a 675. I took one for a spin over the rapa and was blown away by the handling. If you want to chase that cornering adrenaline rush, then the Daytona is for you.
The new Street Triple R that arrives soon might be worth a look too but it's 17 hp down. Which brings me to the second great feature on the dayt.- that MOTOR. Shit it's amazing. I can ride up the Nga Gorge in top gear at 1800 rpm, just above idle, and just open it up and smile a mile wide as all you get is instant, smooooth acceleration. Miles better than a twin can do, or four. But the icing on the cake is it delivers a top end rush and exhaust howl like no other.
Bugger, I've wet myself thinking about it, time to change undies and go for a ride!
And the price is the same or even below that of a Jappa 600!

I'm with you on tinkering with bikes suspension and stuff. I'm a buy em, turn key and ride em sort of person. If it requires after purchase cash to get it right - why the hell buy something that's obviously inferior to start with.

So what are you waiting for? If you keep your Harley then you can do track days aswell on the Dayt.

Let us know what you do. WMCC have been selling some sharp priced near new Triumphs lately. Don't think they have a Dayt in at the mo.

+ 1 to all of the above, the harder you ride it the better it feels.

With most models under my belt - I'd recommend the 675 over any other Triumph and the Daytona over the Street Triple. More fun, no hang-ups I ever found (cept maybe the seat's a bit hard for long rides) and if you're looking at one then it'll probably suit the kind of riding you're wanting.
