We were considering pootling along on our filthy not-Hornets tonight, but decided to go up to Huia and freeze ourselves instead!

Well I was tied up flipping burger patties ... but afterwards did a bit of a night ride out Maraetai into the city, around the back of it and down via the Mangere moronway!

Had a snack at BK mission bay around 11.30pm ... kinda figgered anyone would be home so didn't go checking up at the usual meet and greet spot!

Had the lovely Angel riding my lil'ol'hornet all today Big Ol'Hornet just loves it when his little bro is out riding with him

Well been a luvverly day fer a ride, did the Coro loop with an Angel on my lil'ol'hornet. Did it via Kaiaua and a short loop around anti-clockwise, weather was mint until the weather closed in when we had lunch at Coromandel.

Angel did fantastic for her first time around, a real trooper! Stopped at the lookout past Whitianga for the obligatory photo shoot.

Coming home, rained a bit, but being gijoe ... I was prepared for knowing is half the battle! Wet weather gear stashed in a backpack

Good thing I got my service booked in for Friday! Scott oiler touring kit with double pipette distributors and some heated grips to be installed (sounds like being a wuss to me, but at least I can always have them off!)

Hope everyone else has been okay and getting in some riding!

I was wondering what epics you were going on during the holidays!

I passed my restricted test this morning, was going to go for a long ride to celebrate but ended up doing housework instead O_o. Am hoping the weather is good at some point this week so I can take the minibeast out and make use of her new tryes...

Well believe it or not, this Saturday/Sunday just gone, I rode down to Wellington just after half past midnight! Driving rain, gusty winds and pitch black! It was basically pissing down apart from a small dry patch in the central NI, I did the National Forest/Ohakune route.

Got to Wellywood just around 7am and waited at a local McDees for 8.30am to roll around before rousting Angel outta her comfy abode After some adjustments etc. finally left Wellywood around 9.30am. Yep, any excuse for a ride! Rode down just to pillion my friend up!

Rode up to Auckies and got here around 5.30pm also via the National Forest/Ohakune route. Ahhh I love those trips down and turn around and ride back up again!

Obviously you haven't ridden down to Wellington just for dinner and then turn around and ride back ...

Or visit Wellington and then ride up to Tauranga to visit a mate there who was meant to be in Wellington!

Then again, you could end up riding randomly to Gisborne and back ... or go to Sylvia park for a magazine .. and end up at Cape Reinga ... or feel like an ice cream ... at the 'Tron ... pizza? Go to Kaitaia! Subways? Whangarei! Or if you feel like rambling, do a ride around the Forgotten highway just to check out if the mountain is covered in cloud!

Or you could check out the weather at Port Waikato and then head over to Whangamata to see how the weather is over there ... or you could head over to do the Kai mais and Pyes Pa Road and talk to the luvvery DMNTD then head down to do the Rimatakas ... or scoot over to Wanganui to compare the river to the mighty Waikato ...

Ahh I do so love pootlings ... there are many more excursions and wondrous places in our fair green land ... go out and ride and explore!

My first bet would be a carb clean if it comes back again.
So this carb cleaning business. Is it easy enough to work through with a mug of coffee and some good tunes, or easier to just pay the man?
