How could I NOT be envious of the North and their blatantly superior English and grammar!?

    I concede!

Well that was an interesting Hornet Swarm ride tonight! In hindsight looking back to it again, I realised my sixth sense was telling me not to go down the way I was about to go But ... oh nooooo ... Gremlin had to insist we go back to do the original route (and I was shaking my head no no no! )

The ride out to Huia was all fine and well, along the way we encountered a European marque that was stalled on the side of the road - good on TOTO for stopping out to help. It was the return back through some downhill twisties, that saw the Big Ol'Hornet start to do some antics of it's own, sliding across the road ... well thankfully an ART day gave me trust in my ride's capabilities and I just rode it out with some countersteering (obviously duh!) and constant throttle. Felt my left boot scrape all along the side! Wheee!

Anyway, TOTO then decides to head off to the locked gate (no longer able to get to the dam) and we all kibbitz about where to eat. So back onto the original route I wanted to ride and we pop out into Ponsnobby to chow down at the upstairs food court.

Lots of tales, unfortunately all too true, and much banter, gufffawing, facepalming to be had.

Pretty much par for the course for a Monday Night Swarm Ride! Cheers peeps, spot you all next week!

Well well, just got back home and the troupe of Jason, Sharry and TOTO with Ting as a pillion are enroute to their various abodes. Good turn out tonight! Plenty of riders lying around when I turned up and true to form, no idea of a ride was discussed!

Anyway we ended up at Maraetai where we intimidated the local fish n'chippie until they realised we were there to order! Scoffing the nosh down by the beach was a first and many a belch was emitted. Finally, a ride out to Port Waikato separated the hard core frorm the pumpkin eaters.

Just another reminder on this ride : When you cannot see the headlight of the bike behind you, you need to slow down so it gets passed up the chain to ride leader! Oh well, guess I will have to keep bringing this point up!

Anyway, plenty of possums on the road, I smacked one on the nose and tail I think and the others have their own tales to tell. Good ride peeps, and somehow I managed to avoid riding another 120km tonight!
