Haha, no, they don't land until May/June. Couldn't wait that long... Mine's a 1990, one of the MC-22s (45HP FTW!). Looks pretty much like this, but with a black pillion seat and the 'CBR' decals on the rear fairing under the pillion seat.

I took her for a test ride for shits 'n giggles (after test-riding a VTR). It was luv.

Not sure about the new CBR250, the idea of a single thumper inheriting the CBR name doesn't fit right. And they look kinda ugly to my eye, really don't like that can.

I think the last time I rode of those early 90s ones was when GIJoe's bro had one, same colours too. That would've been back in the mid 90s, /old! Lotsa fun those CBRs.

They're very cute, but they aren't an RR, really...

She is epic fun! I'm going to take her on the St Heliers GP as soon as I can, because leaning into the corners is just so much fun on her. The racebike scream is just fantastic, too. My flatmates aren't going to be best pleased when I start her up at 6am...

Well they've never claimed to be an RR, lots of CBRs, people just know the CBR250RRs mostly. New bike looks awesome.

True it doesn't claim to be an RR. To me, the name CBR250 still implies late 80s to early 90s CBR250RR, which I used to ride. Just call me old fashioned then because I think the new one's pretty damn fugly But luckily for Honda I'm not the target demographic for it.

You old fashioned gramps! Well you told me to call you it!

I like the direction Honda are heading, it may not to be what everyone likes but at least they're trying something new and not just playing it safe *coughkawasakicough*
    :P!
Any Honda is a good Honda though, so nice one Steel! Has it got some nice pipes to make that high revving engine sound great?

PS. If you're in the market for a CB600 buy one soon, the model changes again for mid to late 2011 and the price is going to skyrocket. The model looks almost exactly like a barebones mini-predator, which isn't really to my taste (but might be to yours: digital rev counter, predator-ish light and instrument cluster, stocky tail and non clear rear light hehe) but the big kicker is that it somehow managed to gain 20kg!!

Yeah, she sounds good (to me, I may be biased...). Very crackly down the bottom of the rev range, then up to full racebike scream at about 6k revs. You'll get to judge in a couple of weeks...

I do like the look of the current CBR600 (it, the Yammie Fazer 6, and the Triumph Daytona are on my 'I want' list), if they're doing a naked version I will be less interested...

Somebody's been enjoying her new bike. Wait until you hear it going through 14k+ revs. Not that I'm suggesting you should do that.

Dunno about the others but I thought the Daytona was horribly uncomfortable. For me the seat's too high and the clip-ons are too low, even more so than the kwaka 636. But the Daytona does look absolutely mint.

Well seems like a variety of places are rearing their head, but if conditions are okay, will be a scoot through the Hunuas!

And some food and drinkies along the way, somewhere!

Mwahahaha. Redline is at 20k revs... so getting up to 14k is easy. I've only been on 2 test rides thus far, I'm waiting on the bank loan to go through to pick her up, will be some time next week... can't wait.

Is so pretty... I dunno, I guess I'll see when it comes to that (which will be a bit longer down the track). Everyone was saying how comfortable the VTR was, and it just didn't sit right with me.

    Have fun on the Hunuas...

Yup redline is 20 but IIRC 'peak' power is probably more in the range of 15-17 and depending on the year it may be limited to about 18-19. Dont think that limit applies to the MC22 though. Not that it matters, you're going to enjoy that bike.
