I sooo want to see you test ride a Goldwing. Pretty sure the Mrs wouldn't have any complaints about the back seat, pretty sure it'd be more comfortable than most couches.

Had a look at my footage this morning, saw the hedgehog Justin mentioned - I went past it, about 5 metres or so ahead of it was....... a shoe.

    A fucking shoe!
It's been a while since I've had a scare like that! Just before it happened I was thinking I had too much weight on the bars so put weight on the pegs and gripped the tank and then BAM front spazzed out from the shoe like no tomorrow. Luckily I was light on the bars so it corrected itself! I patted mah lovely bike after that. Saved me from my own stupidity.

The abysmally sad thing was that almost immediately after I thought, "Katman would have a field day with that one! Bailing from a rogue shoe!"

    KB has poisoned my mind.

Wait, there was a shoe after the hedgehog? Or did I mistake the hedgehog as a shoe? Good to hear you kept it rubber side down - I guess thats where having a camera running keeps track of those oddities of the road!

Makes for a more interesting vlog for your viewers?

Yeah, looks like one that's been left out in the sun a little too long, colour's faded a little.

Is this why you missed the swarm on monday? you were busy being a bike extra?

no, the bosses had organized a strip party for one of my colleagues and I had to go along. Be part of the team so to speak.

Will this be an interesting ride tonight? Will a fixed beemer turn up? Is there any place we have not yet been to?

The usual meet place is all clogged up with roadworks, parking on the pavement as per usual it seems!

I found an awesome road on Saturday, but probably doesn't lend itself to night riding (about 10-15 minutes of gravel in there) But man, saw some scenery I had not seen in NZ before. Was epic.

Forestry Road is a brilliant little ride there as well, beautifully sealed, ok camber on the corners, VERY little traffic, lots of twisties.
