Of course, going via Clevedon from Maraetai, just riding, riding and riding until we get to destination - so fuel up first! And then returning via the back ways of SH22 ... the way I like to do things ...

This is a very rough outline, the roads I take aren't generally seen on this map (and I can't be farfed going right down into it )

Kaiaua sounds great. I will be there for the full ride.

Darrell is possibly going to join us as well.

Have fun you lot, turns out now that university has started up again, I have magically turned into a hermit. Or a pumpkin or something, so don't be surprised if you don't see me for a while...

    A student at your age?

What's with these biker girls and being too busy to go out riding? I don't remember anything about uni except sleeping through classes, starting projects the night before and acing exams (I call it passive learning)

What's wrong with being a student at my age? And don't you dare call me a mature student! It's a masters degree with 100% coursework starting on day 1 it seems. oh and did I mention I'm working full time at the same time?

Well, was a good night for a ride, gale_wolf was already waiting for me to turn up, nek minute, deadlytuna and sharry pops along and as we natter away, Darrell and his +1 on a large boat with wheels (XL650) was followed by Interceptor. Well, exercising my authorita as ride leader, I got the circus moving and we refueled in Botany. I nipped any conversations in the bud and we rode out to Whitford and Maraetai.

We bade gale_wolf and his dodgy guts farewell in Clevedon (he was a bit crook) and then quickly moved out to Kaiaua to get to the fush n'chippy before it closed. A spirited ride and we were easily within closing time, burgers, fish and chips were consumed with gusto and washed down with fizzy beverages. Sharry ordered a latte and let the image of filthy biker scum down!

There was tension in the air, it seems Interceptor and his crew were too posh to sit with the hoi-polloi! Getting airs metthinks!

Anyhow, 9pm it was when we geared up and left, took the back way to Mangatawhiri and tuna man took the onramp home towards Mercer. The rest of us carried on a bit until we hit Mercer proper and I split up from them to take the long way home!

Thanks for everyone keeping it safe and spot you all next time!

So far, two for two for making the eats places before they slammed the doors in filthy biker's faces!

Was a good ride apart from me needing to dial down my suspension a little for the road. Far too hard. Felt like i was riding a forklift @100+K's...
Food was good. Pity the Too Cool Crew couldn't sink to our level and push some measly metal together. Haha.
Motorway was boring but had to get back ASAP.
