We are booking them right now. I just can't count though (apparently...) Flying out on the 23rd. So in theory could do the track day
I'm just a bit scared that I crash and break something. If I don't die in the crash my boss will kill me for being so stupid and not being able to do the work...![]()
Two girls fighting, knives or not, that's entertainment!
Hoping the weather is good this weekend, gonna break in the new rear tyre, and new bearings up front. the bike feels so nimble now, when you tip it in it feels like you're riding a 250!
Bad news is the crappy undersized chain on the bike wont accomodate a new rear sprocket, so even though they are two months old, I have to replace the chain and front sprocket too.
Ideally you really should replace both sprockets and the chain at the same time, otherwise you'll suffer premature wear on the new part, shortening it's life.
Remember that the rear sprocket is 2-3 times the size of the front, so once the rear looks worn the front is probably fucked.

Yeah, I know. To explain though, around 2-3 months ago, just before I purchased the bike, the client told me the chain was getting replaced as it appeared rusty. They apparently also replaced the front sprocket, but not the rear. Since the chain is by no means old and the front looks okay, I was hoping to only have to replace the rear sprocket for now.
The problem with that is, the workshop fitted some cheap chain that isnt even the right size for the bike. It will not even accommodate a standard size rear sprocket. Not only that, but George pointed out to me just how crap it was, by flexing the chain, rolling the bike foward, and flexing it again. Big difference.
Long story short, the guy I bought it off shouldnt have bothered paying the workshop before I bought it, since they did a crap job with the plastic welding, fittied the wrong chain, and for all I know topped up the oil with WD40.
Anyone keen for a ride tonight?
Thanks to Wanpo for letting me take his baby out for a ride yesterday.
Took Cammy out via Coatesville / Riverhead, Peak road to Kaukapakapa and back, then through the twisties on Ridge road. Got Cammys blood boiling... literally... By the time we got back to Wanpo's place she was running hot. But that's cause I treated it the way you should treat a sport bike...![]()
Since no one else seems keen, change of plans for me tonight...
