And the chain coming off with them? I've ridden her for tens of thousands of klicks and voila, she gets the pip. That's Daisy for you, she loves to be ridden, but you got to know how to treat a girl!

She's tempestuous, impertinent, hard to control, changeable and fickle in her moods. I think from now on, Daisy will not be lent out so I cannot get these poor poor things happening to her!

PirateJafa and Banzai ... guilty as charged!

Donor always has a disapproving cast to his eye when he hears I've lent her out to the hoi-polloi!

But but she loves to be ridden so I was just riding her normally, then she decides to pup her chain...

Oh, plus I fixed her throttle and lubing bits and bits of hers!

I told you if you start doing that she will become even more demanding! Mark my words, giving into her demands will see you become beholden to her and become a slave catering to her every whim.

Obviously you haven't had experience with two-strokers enough to realise this! :slap: Not that I would know!

You'd better ... and make sure you wash the new ride down, polish it completely, go with autosol on the chrome, metal bits, check the tyre pressures, relube the chain, give the bolts a tighten and above all ... ride it, ride it lots ...

You need to get up extra early so roads are empty ... heck, if you are early early enough, I may find it in my heart to pootle out with you!

Early? I mean 7.30am early! I has places to be, people to see and things to do ... but I got to get my riding in!

Righto you savages, today is a good day to ride!

I shall be donning my gear.
Giving praise to my iron steed.
    Supplicating the Biker Gods.
For this morning, I shall ride.
    And ride I will.

    Carpe Diem!

A great little pootle around some of my backyard ... I did the pre-ride ride into BP Botany and waited for Josh on his VTR250 to turn up. I think he has the makings of a right biking nutter. Who else would want to get up voluntarily on Boxing day and head out for a ride with me?

Had a wee bit of a natter and then commenced into the riding. Josh rides well for only his third day for road riding! Did my pootling route around the lovely roads of Whitford, Maraetai and Clevedon. The early start meant no cagers to deal with and made for a vicarious riding experience.

Thanks Josh for riding along, next time we'll do the Hunuas ... but I daresay you will do the Coro loop before next we ride together!

Right, now that I have done some riding, I think I can handle the rest of the day ... in a cage But I know as soon as I see/hear a bike, I will be

    have a good christmas guys!
    Oh no! The dreaded cage!
Mind you, i cant do without mine most of the time due to carrying stuff around, so i know the predicament you're in. Just sounds like a good excuse to jump on the back with someone and pootle back down to the naki so you can ride her back up, and have the best of both worlds available back in aucks
Hope you had a good chrissy, and are getting more time to ride now the weather has come right When you back up to the big city?

Only just got back m'self, and i'm thinking 200k's wasnt enough for the day... Anyone keen for a pootle???
