Me and GiJoe did some nice pootling today - clevdon, kawakawa bay, kaiawa, mirinda, mercer, port wikito, huania, witford and back to GiJoe's place to do some cool hornet washing and meet Zeosens new hornet toy - and she is gorgeous

Then off to tha SATNR and met some cool people , then did some riding , then some bike fixing on an R1 then ome more riding , then a tavern then some more riding and then home. Good day all in all. The hooligan was much happy to be out of the garage and scream at some cute feemale hitchhikers on the side of the road

    Wasing of Hornets in gargre

Well praked after the ride, TOTO and I did the hard yards and gave our pride and joy a quick wash. I went overboard and did the 3 step Meguiars polish system on my Big Ol'Hornet.

I love the smell of carnuba wax!

Eventually zeocen turned up with his new Hornet and brought Gwinch along as well. Gwinch also went to town on his ride and even polished it as well. Very blingy!

Pic 1 : Going to the bike wash yeah!
Pic 2 : Er my eyes! They burn! The goggles! They do nothing!
Pic 3 : "If only you were a hawt babe in a t-shirt ... mmm sweater puppies in wet t-shirt..."
    Pic 4 : Just a few good ol'boys, doing no harm ...

well duh... may I remind you that you said no to the beach, then did it anyway, then got all pissy and cried like a baby when you threw your hornet into the sand?

Just remember that when you finally reach the heights of your own incompetence! I await that moment, letting it mature over time like a fine wine, patient I am ...

Remember the biker gods also have their ways and means also my fine Katoom o'doom friend!

And remember that hot brit girl looking for a good time? :slap:

Any excuse for a ride! I dare say that the streets shall be safe for swarming, for the cagers shall be tired from getting back from their choked holiday destinations!

A predator praked in the gargre ...

Well, finally got around to posting up my photos on the loaner that those bastiches at Botany Honda inflicted on me!

I was getting my Big Ol'Hornet serviced on Tuesday and Dave there gave me the lend of a loaner bike to get myself around on.

So away I go, pleasantly surprised he gave me one of the new bikes to ride out on! I've already ridden the Hornet 600 and the Predator so away I go, thinking he had given me the 600 to ride.

Zipping away into traffic I was surprised how easily it pulled away, was also surprised how uncouth it was and felt like it always wanted to go faster. Meh, I thought and put it down to warming up and all that.

To Whitford I rode to get home and the bike blasted through the corners! By the 5th or 6th corner I was thinking "'ang on 'alf a 'mo, shouldn't this be screaming along at 10k ... it's only on 4K!"

    I'm a slow learner.

So away I go and eventually Whitford comes and goes, I'm on the home leg via Clevedon area and then a muscle car comes into view ahead. I think he didn't like how his Chev was being followed by a bike.

    He gassed it.

    He gassed it really hard.

I was content to merely twitch my throttle hand and the next moment, I'm sliding back into the pillion seat and I'm right up the date of the muscle car pulling hard!

"Crikey! This is a bit more than I thought a 600 could do!" I could hear the car's engine and exhaust notes banging along, the look in the car mirror saw the driver suddenly seeing a bike filling it came as a surprise to him.

So I drop back (following distances and all) and I hear the car thunder off faster. Well you all know the familiar story, by the next 3 curves, riding normally, I was back on his tail again. Not worth passing since I was almost home and he was moving along at a fair clip.

    Home.

Swung myself off the bike and looking at the rear section. CB1000R.

    Oh :slap: No wonder.

Lovely bike, handles like Thor's Chariot through Valhalla, has such controllable power that gives it up faster than an unarmed crim surrounded by SWAT. Breezes through corners like a zephyr wind through the valleys.

Has the look of eagles soaring through space, in command of its area. The finish is Japanese perfection, Italian design ... sort of like the meeting of East and West but without the invading. The curves reminds me of a serious, sexy athletic woman - all business, but with that appreciation of hard work and power in a small package. Hot damn it looks fine.

Controls are simple, non-distracting ... the rev counter is most prominent, the speedo a mere afterthought, tucked into the left of the dash.

    Very, very nice.

What bastards those Botany guys are for letting me play on one for half a day.

I want one to add to my Hornetto stable now!
