Made a pretty good go of sticking with a mates CBR600f through the twisties - Was able to get on the gas eariler through the bends. However, i did end up with arm pump from the wee front brake. Awesome initial bite... but not much after that

Oh and red barons told me off for using 98... apparently i should use 91?!
Mate, if I could I would have kept my 250 hornet too. I for sure will own another one one day. The fun is so totally different compared to the 900. And the 250 hornet usually outrides the big ass sports bikes in the twisties.
I distinctly remember doing the twisties with a bunch of ZXs, cbrs and a few GIZers, got to opononi pub...all the "Superbike" riders are complaining " ohhh my knees, ohhh damn those twisties"...and I was sitting on my little white princess shouting "C'mon then, who wants to do that last bit a few more times".
250 hornets are a marvelous bikes. I suggest you enjoy it to the max as you will always think of that little bike when you get another one. And I speak the truth![]()
OK, so if a 250 is a Lil' ol' Hornet and a 900 is a Big ol' Hornet then does that make mine a Middling ol' Hornet..........
I miss have the lil ol girl at my house. I could really use a ride tonight![]()
Hrmmm. What about running some snake oil/carb cleaner through a tank of gas?
Stay away from them snake oil varmints y'hear boy! T'ain't no good come from it is all!
"I like to ride anyplace, anywhere, any time, any way!"![]()
Hahaha, guess i should just pay someone to do a general service/tune then.![]()
Now thats talking general good sense!Once you know what you are doing, you can do more of the basic stuff yourself ... but the more technical stuff ... leave to the pros!

The general message, from my experience of asking everybody everything like the noob that i will forever be, seems to be that there is nothing wrong with putting in 98 in a motorbike, but it's not doing any favours either (while 98 will yield better results in a car).
shrug.
on another note, all this hornet love makes me want to go out and try one.
