    Hayabusa/Zx1400 2008....

Now ive been very close to buying either recently and have been watching the prices very carefully as Im in no real rush to just Pinged again on a $20k plus bike! !

Which infact would be the 3rd time in 2years I have been pinged! !

    But tonight I see on Trade me a Zx1400 2008 New..Including 6mths rego and Free delivery for $17500 starting/Selling bid...(In standard Bleck)
Now assuming this 1400 sold for $17500 which it could...Thats a 25% discount on the current retail price of $19995..Not mentioning the 6mths rego and free delivery...

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=190034567

Now on the other hand the 2008 Busa is Currently sitting at $22200...Plus on road of $250....

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=134826275

Now I really would of thought Suzuki Sizzlefest would of including the Busa and Bking...Making the BKing $19995 (From $22995) and the Busa $18995 (from $21995)...As they are both over a year old in Nz and collecting alot of dust from the shop floors...

    Now to the CRUNCH ! ! !

Im a LOYAL Suzuki fan ! ! But at $22450 for a 2008 Busa with 6mnths rego..(Without free delivery maybe?)

And $17500 for a 2008 Zx1400 with 6mths rego and free delivery advertised..

The $4950 difference is what I was talking about at the beginning of this thread....And would make me change Brands.....After all isnt the 2008 Busa now going to have to be around the $18995 mark to sell....(As I prevoiusly mention earlier) To meet this Zx1400 buynow of $18500...? ?

    Anyways....What are your thoughts...

    Crazy Steve..

personally i would buy an older busa and spend money on it. i think the motor on the older busa was more fun, more raw and agressive.

Me too Steve, was keen on new Busa but they didn't summer fest them. I think people are starting to count on festing myself.
But 6 months down the road the market sees lots of good buys out there and I changed my mind on the newie.
I was offered a new zx14 for 17, six months ago.
Older busa's aren't worth much more than 10 now. (I'm not talking retail !) G.

Hiya mate. I rode barbenders ZX1400 with some updates on it and man that's the closest I ever came to dropping my GSX1400 for another bike.

    Loved it

Somewhere on this forum is a full road test I did on the ZX14 when they first came out and I nearly traded up then.

A bike that hits the limiter at 185kmh in first and can pop a wheelie at 200kmh with a few little upgrades just about clinches it for me.

OR.... why not seriously look at a summerfest GSX1400 in balck with a Yoshimura pipe brand new for $12995!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to ride one before you decide....you know you have to
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

You might be able to afford the ZX14R.

But can you afford to pay for the tyres?

ZX14, I seriously doubt you'd regret it other than maybe losing your license...
IMHO they are far far better looking than the Busa too but ofcourse that down to individual preferences.

I dont know Steve...ZX14 is a lot of bike for $17.5K. (Damn GSXR 750 is nearly $20K new) I have not yet heard anyone say they didn't like it either. Performance Bike chose it as their steed to do the Cannon Ball Run, so they obviously saw something in it...

    Good luck with the choice

Yeah, popping a wheelie at a 170km/h gets old pretty quickly.

Ride both and then decide. If you put your cash into a 'bargain' you could be stuck with something you didn't want for a while. BTW How's your willpower? Both these bikes are a really good way to shred your licence.
