Apparently Honda are introducing a bike with a V5 engine based on the Moto GP job in 2006. This is thought to be the replacement for the now aging Blackbird.

I will watch developments with interest...

I Do. It is a great bike to ride. Light and fast. Carbs with minimal electronic stuff. Wifey is happy to sit on the back as the rear seat is comfy. What can I say. Gixxer 4 ever..........96 750V

I own the bike I want. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to do more with it though...

especially sort out the shuddery front left rotor.

Actually saw one of my dream bikes today.

It's the American Motor Show on today and I suppose someone rode it there, but anyway it went past us on the Hutt Motorway just south of River Road.

An XR1000. [sigh] I used to dream about those when I was a kid and Evil Kenieval was doing all sorts of tricks with them. Actually I had a poster of one on my wall...

Damn I wish I had one of those. Now that's a real Harley...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

No,I haven't got the bike I want, but I'm playing around with the one I have, turning it into what suits me.That's ok by me,I like altering a bike more to my liking - hell,I wouldn't like to go out and buy the perfect bike, where is the fun in that?

I thought the XS1 was perfect for me at the time,I used to reckon if I won Lotto I'd just rebuild the XS1,but then I wanted to change it around, and that would ruin one of the few left,so I sold it.Dunno what to do next,I'd kinda like to have a last fling off road, but also buy what might be a bike to last me for awhile. The set up of the XS1 still appeals to me - I'd like to get a W650 and do a street scrambler on it - then I'd have a modern bike that could do road, gravel, beach, bit of off road...kinda like the do all bikes I grew up on.A sidecar is on a want list too,I'd like to involve my kids in my riding more, hooning around in a chair would be big fun.

Hmmm, still waiting for the money and time to have an Augusta F4
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

    Mine's a Marauder

Mine's a Marauder 1600. Bought it a couple of weeks ago, and I LOVE it. Traded in a Bandit 1200 for it, and boy was it the right move.

Want to build a chopper too, then I'll have two dream bikes...

It's the factory paint, but mine's not a SP, is the YZF750R model(although the rego papers say YZF750RE), gets a bunch of the SP goodies, but has the heavier wheels and covered pillion seat, I may just pick up the M/C trader anyway - haven't looked at one for years!
