By all accounts the Puponga track is much better than the Pohara one.
The Pohara one got boring after a few years.

I went out yesterday and had a look at the twin shockers, sure brought back some memories. I was surprised at how spotless some of the bikes were, almost looked new.

I was also on a sidecar briefly as well, very briefly as it turned out....

    ...Hopefully pictures to follow!

That shiny bike you spoke of would have been Ians as well, either of them!

Poorly advitised & why wasn't there a route from Inglewood side was 15ks shorter ? Drove all the way to Tiriki pub then 3/4 of the way back to Tarata Saddle turn off , Was wanting to race my XT500 VMX but gave up after mucking around half the morning trying to find the event .. Took my motard TT500 there later in the day & went back sunday to have alook at wether there was any sweet machines to veiw , which there was . Track looked pretty good for what it was .. Hope to check out Steve's bikes some time in the near future ..

The venue location was,nt that well explaned. -----Then again ,I could,nt be bothered waiting to load up the map from the website ,on my slow--arsed connection.
The article in the Taranaki Daily News gave me the impresion it was on the main road near Tariki.
I hope similar events are held,I had other committments, includeing the Matau bike ride, this time.
