Had a good time. Ended up yakking to Dave for about half an hour about all sorts of toys. A few expert things thrown in there for me to consider with the new bike purchase. Cheers Dave, top bloke.

Had a good squizz at the DN01, Street Triple R, CB1000R, CB600F, Gladius, although, with the Gladius, I asked about some of the details, and the guys said that Suzuki hasn't told them anything about it, they just shipped it in, and didn't share anything about it. Same Engine as the SV650? Don't know? Price? Don't know.

Don't know why they bothered having anything other than the bike stuff there, none of it really took my fancy, apart from a cool trailer.

And how is a glamour photography company considered a "Big Boys Toy"?

I go every year - and it seems to get smaller and smaller.

The Bike show this year I think saved the show - so big ups to the guys involved there.

Too many crap plastic toys, and second rate rubbish - for fuck sake there was a guy selling absorbent towels for the kitchen - Its Big Boys toys - not a fucken ovary convention.

They were a hall down for renovations - that made the space available a whole lot smaller - so why they left an entire hall for skateboarding scum beggars belief. Blokes want to see bloke stuff, not greasy haired obnoxious little shits - put that shit on another weekend and fill the hall with man gadget porn.

Very few things outside of the bike hall I would spend my $$$$ on. Except the Nissan GTR for a new cage - that got me fat!

Did you see the Top Gear segment on it a couple of episodes ago?

    Sexytime!

I don't actually think I'd have one, though. I can't really think of an application for it, if you know what I mean.

Hope he doesn't mind me mentioning it...

KB member Swima will be attending the show some time over the weekend. He's up there for the ocean swimming race. Reigning national champion in his age group.

Did anyone see the 'off' by one of the Demon motoX guys.

Decent slide right into the fence - he looked pretty sore afterwards. They cut their 'set' short, so Im hoping he was OK.

Well I enjoyed the event more this year, guess having a free ticket and riding with five other hornets as part of the HRC had summit to do with it!

Spent most of my time ogling bikes, went back and forth several times and really liked the look of the CB600F and CB1000R (Predator, not a hornet! ). Actually found something to buy! Gasp! A nice little Mother's powerball and a free bottle o'polish to keep the rims on the bikes sparkly clean

The guys at the Kiwi Rider stand were kewl, even got a free DVD off them when we had a chat about the mag (I read all other mags off the shelf, but buy Kiwi Rider).

Missing all the man pr0n stuff - kewl gadgets like pocket knives, carbiners, pouch holders etc ... y'know, stuff that makes guys go "ooo kewl, I wants it ... here is money"

Watched the crusty demons do their stuff, some good air and tricks done. Was good to see young'uns being kitted out by their parental units from the Ixon area and wandering out with arms full of riding gear

NZ army always the best displays ... mmm APC with 25mm bushmaster cannon and the 105mm howitzer w00ters

and oh yes, some minters bikes to over - even leaving the venue was great as the usual bike pr0n fest line up delayed my departure!

Cheers to Botany Honda for the ride in and sorting out the parking cock-up (parked in front as per usual!) ooh ... Mother's powerball, lekky drill, polish ... mmmm ... c'mere lil' and Big Old Hornets!

Had a good day, watched some nutters (demons) leap crossers over a tank one of them got it wrong and landed on the bottom of the ramp and looked like he squashed his nuts, didn't seem him again after that! The bike show was good and watched three Ausie guys munter three rear tyres and fuck three CBR600's doing it! Ate an over priced burger and drank a $3 can of coke!!
It was smaller than others I've been too but still a good day out, introduced mr3 to scantily clad women and loud music, he loved it all.
There going to have to ramp it up next year or it will be my last.

The only part that managed to wipe a miserable look from my face was the bikers doing stunts. Apart from that, it sucked. It's a show about nothing and like the easter show, brings out all the inbreeds. My god there are some ugly people in NZ.
