im sure its getting shitter every year, and Finn is right, i saw the entire cast of 'the hills have eyes' there.
i liked those freaky radio controlled helicopters though.

So it wasn't just me being a cunt then. My GF who is relatively new to NZ was in disbelief.
The Army display was laughable. I asked why Motat had a stand there and the guy wearing what looked like a WW1 uniform almost started crying.
However, giving credit where it's due, the bike area was the best. Outside, there was a Desmosedici and I heard it start up. Sounded fricken awesome. The only let down was the guy revving the snot out of it was an obese fucker with no neck wearing clothes from a recycle bin smoking a roll yah own. How to destroy the Ducati image in one foul swoop.
This was the 5th BBT's my son and I have been to.
We agreed that there wasnt as much to see or do compared to previous years. I was also left wondering how skateboarding and bmxing deserved to have its own hall.
Hats off to them - they're skilled... but if thats big boys toys material... then we're farked.
Paul Heard's Duc was cool. We got there around 9am on Sat and Steve started it up for us. Fell in love. Imagine thundering around the East Cape on that thing.
Apart from that - highlights for us were the Demon FMX riders, the Victory bike stand and German Sausages over by the Tui tent. The Frankfurters and Bratwursts were wanderbar.
Well done to those working the stands.
just another fukin jealous primate. pick ya knuckles up and go suck ya mums tits finn.
missed ya gordie. you could have posed with the bike for our promo girl shoot. i like benson and hedges thanks.
good too meet you rona. you are a true gentleman.
why do black tyres on a black road produce white smoke?????
I'm struggling with your request a bit Steve.
1) Jealousy is an emotion I don't behold.
2) Being a first generation kiwi, I am of good stock with both parents born at opposite continents significantly reducing the common issue we have in NZ of inbreeding. In short, I can assure you that my knuckles are far from the ground and my thumb and forefinger can meet without difficulty and/or much concentration.
3) My mother is dead.
However, if you said something along the lines of.. "Fuck off Finn, you're a cunt" I would have little argument with that.
hmmmm I spent a long weekend talking bikes and bull. Surprise!
It was good fun for me, but some asshole stole the watch on my handlebar... It wasnt G-Shock or anything but still costed me $20 and was very useful watch...
Does anyone have any waterproof watch you don't use?
Anyway here are couple pics from the show
Gradius is good looking bike. It reminds me of arcade shooting game.
Gotta love Desmo...![]()

i think im gonna email the organizers of this years BBT and ask for my 2 days back..why the hell would they move the bike show to the back of the small hall and give the tosser skater fags the whole of hall 5?.. 300 bikes out front should give them an indication of just how many of us there are
couldnt get near the hot shit $2.5 mil car to get a pic.. the hillbillies were stacked 6 deep around the damn thing and blocking egress to the second hall .. great place to put it jackasses
Yamaha had the new R1 hidden (loved the VMax though guys)
Ducati had the worse display in the show..never thought a 1098 could bore the shit out of me..get creative kids.. dont just throw them in a line and expect to stir anyone's loins.. the cops had more traffic than the Ducatis FFS!!!
..Triumph did a good job, as did Kwakisucki and Suzuki.. the Victory guys didnt seem to have alot of product knowledge.. might wanna upskill the boys
they had the Aston Martin DBS jammed into a 3x4 cell..damn shame really.. ive had a very close look at it at one of my dealerships.. bloody hot ride..give it more room
just my opinion really.. thoroughly disappointed this year... gonna have to really come to the party to get me back next year
I guess it's a sign of the economic downturn that dropped the number of companies having stands.i thought there might have been more tool displays, some dive gear, push bikes.golf gear ... still the motorbike section was great.
A universal dream of greatness is that
We push ourselves to the limit
Yet still be brilliant when the chips are down.
Sometimes , The struggle kills the dream.
