Where is best place to get spokes replaced on North Shore?

A couple of weeks ago I took my daughters XR100R rear wheel to cycletreads to get a new tyre and now after just one ride it has gone flat. There are a couple of spokes missing and a little rust hole near the valve hole. The tyre jockey spent a good hour replacing the tyre, scraping and brushing the rim but this obviously didn't help stop getting a puncture. Do they guarantee their work? And now that it has to come off again I may as well get the two missing spokes replaced. Cycletreads don't do that sort of work, any recommendations on where to go? And how do I stop getting an internal puncture? I recall someone saying gaff tape up the inside instead of the rubber band they use, does this work well?
