    A nice ride thread

I went for a good hours ride today around south auckland.
I had no cages pull out in front of me, no cages tailgate me.
Did some slow stuff and quick tuff (70km of course im on a learners).
All the lights were red, all the intersections were busy, but still it was a GREAT ride.

There was plenty of others riding around today. One nice bike at the lights in papatoetoe (you know how you are) gave each other a good head shake and went on our ways.

So this is just a nice storey on a great day for riding
If you cant fix it with a hammer, Its an electrical problem.

Had a great ride today as well along the beaches on the shore. Rode from browns bay all the way to devonport and had a coffee!! Beautiful weather!!!

Saw quite a lot of bikers, most of them are just out for a good ride i guess. It's nice how most of them will give u a friendly nod when you ride past them that never heppen when I was in my car lol....

then also saw a group of harley riders alone east coast road. They rode pretty nutty lol, going 80+ on a 50k road and passing hardout on yellow lines .. well i guess they are having fun too

    Good for you.

This is what it's all about - getting out and riding. I was stuck close to home today (on-call for work). I did manage to get out for a little bit of shopping and gave my bike (and my wife's) a good clean so all good. I'm looking forward to the week after next - I've got a week's leave. Leave Auckland on Sunday and just ride (as yet I know not where). Back to see Phantom (for the fourth time) on Thursday - work Christmas do. Should be a good week. Hope the weather holds out.

"You've given out too much bling" and all that.

Sure does... Considering how happy riding makes us all I wonder why KB is so full of vitriol. Maybe it's a form of withdrawal symptom?

Would just like to add I had a farkin mint ride yesterday arvo/evening up Matakana way (aside from the fresh seal that's ruined Woodcocks). Then got home and went for a swim before dinner.

Oh yeah that was after I'd already been up 16 to Parakai for lunch

That and the fact that, as a breed, motorcyclists tend to be the type that don't take well to being told what to do.

    Glad you enjoyed your ride.
Was too windy here today for riding. Well was for me anyway. No enjoyment when your up against it
Though I was out yesterday and it was just stunning!
Was away for a good hour and 1/2.
Over to Sumner, up the pass and into Lyttleton, then a daudle round the bays out to Wheatcheif and through Gebbies back to Hornby.
The breeze was real warm, a really nice ride!
