Biker down - Palmerston North (18 November)

There's a colleague of mine from Wellington in Palmerston North hospital ICU at the moment. His name is Nathan and was involved in some kind of crash on his bike on Sunday. He had an operation on Sunday night, seemed stable yesterday, but has had a relapse and is not breathing properly on his own. Unfortunately I have no further details. Visits are out of the question at the moment, as he needs to rest, but please hold him and his partner Lisa in your thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear this. Wishing for a quick and full recovery for him, and hoping Lisa has all the support and comfort she needs now, too.

My thoughts go out to both of them and lets hope that he recovers from his injuries and Lisa soon has him back where she wants him, by her side.

Thanks everyone, his condition is improving. Apparently it was a run-in with a milk tanker, but he was able to take evasive action, which probably saved his life. Hitcher is right, I didn't stick to the protocol. I won't go into further detail regarding his condition and the circumstances, as it doesn't seem like it was reported in the media, and I want to respect his privacy too.
