Why I hate "look how fast I ride" videos.

These serve no purpose other than to encourage new motorcycle riders to think "Fuck, I bet I could do that road just as fast".

I can hear the answers already.........

"I'm trying to showcase New Zealands natural beauty" - bullshit, you'd go slower.

"You're never going to stop new riders from being idiots" - maybe, but we sure as fuck don't need to encourage them.

I'm new here but already I've read so many of these type of posts from you. Do you really expect people who ride illegally to read them and after a while say: "oh shit i was so stupid I'll never do it again". Or are these posts of yours just venting? Serious question so don't think I'm taking the piss...

gota agree on the road thing...wish they would show they need more on a track....however way to much u-tube shit...so as one does ..so one belives in doing it better....pity...

I think his opinion is that, although he wont stop everyone from doing it, he might stop a couple which is better than doing nothing. You never know, maybe there are loads of people on here who want to say the same thing but don't have the balls, or maybe they just don't care. Not everyone on here was blessed with more than two brain cells.

Okay, so KatMan is the centre of some debate within this community. I like him, he keeps us real, and when he lobs a grenade over the parapet, it gets noticed (although sometimes the message gets lost amidst the noise). We are much better off with him. His antithesis is a complete fuckstick (I've decided he's not worthy of an actual name), and you'll soon pick who he is, poor grammar and language are the clue here (along with small dick and boyfriend). Ying and moron.

However, Katman has a character flaw. If only we could get a modern USD and swingarm on his Katana - wouldn't that be something..

Seriously, I'm working on the trackday bike. All I need are a few bits, then a camera... I'm an ex-VT editor, and now there are all these nice tools to make really cool video's on your PC...
