So thats what happened to ya on that Whangamomona ride last season Bonez?

There is always an exception to the rule but in alot of cases, paying attention to where your bike is going to be in the time it takes to stop will avoid the hidden part of the hidden danger.
And a good point too... the point I was making is - "There is always an exception to the rule..." You just never know when that exception will up and bite ya.

That's the thing about country folk, Friendly to a fault.

I'm convinced they never noticed a thing until I was riding in front of them yelling abuse. And they had no idea why I was upset or where I came from.

Sure as hell didn't look in his mirror before pulling a passing manoeuvre that would have blocked the road for a good 1km. Thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when one funky big arse tractor suddenly became two.

2 k's faster and the goat and blind dog wouldn't have even got to the road.
    k seraa seraa(so)

Ummm, a couple of k faster and I would have cut the goat in half.. at best....

You are right though, it isn't about the speed really, it is about the timing....
I did have a dog run between my front wheel and my fairing on my CBR400 once.... We both lived.

    Yeah, Key Seraa Seraa....

luckily i don't have to prove or justify anything to you, however, at said driveway, as the road is green from being constantly wet and covered in pine needles, and there always being stones across the road at that point, and you can see the driveway from the approach to the crest, i'll take it at a speed appropriate to the information i have at the time.

i tell you what, if i crash, you can say 'i told you so'

BTW, Scotsman Valley is 7.5km long. i usually roll it in a casual 4-5 minutes.

In the meantime how about one on a real tight twisty road marty, seems a great recording set-up you have, havent ridden up your way but there must be some twisty stuff,on a Busa it would provide some nice rear end action.

and how many seconds of the day is that driveway used?
the faster a bike goes past it lessens the chance of someone coming out of it

i just ride what i ride - if twisty stuff comes my way then so be it, otherwise i'm usually going somewhere. i don't make videos just to appease KB. the scotsmans valley one was taken on the way to flying at whitianga - there's a flying video i took on the same day somewhere too.

I can hear the answers already.........
"I'm trying to showcase New Zealands natural beauty" - bullshit, you'd go slower.
"You're never going to stop new rider from being idiots" - maybe, but we sure as fuck don't need to encourage them.
On the odd occassion I've given you the benefit of the doubt.
But this time, what I thought was a promising start has unfortunately gone nowhere...

Largely because you have this complete inability to keep your comments from being personal. And when the shit hits the fan, you run and hide and on the odd occassion will apologise in private or show yourself in public to be a nice guy.

I dont buy it. In this thread alone you doubt the maturity of those who post 'said' videos and then compare them to cancer while simultaneously describing the nature of those who watch them as credulous.

And now your talking about the distance between powerpoles???

    You're not a sledgehammer.

I stand by the "cancer" comment.

Those riders who choose to flagrantly display an irresponsible attitude towards the safety of themselves and others are all part of the slow and insidious decay of the freedom of Motorcycling as we know it.

Which brings me back to the whole video thing.

They are nothing but a "look at the size of my cock" statement.
