Hiya peeps,
I've had a real shit week. I've worked my arse off and have now just finished a few wines to help me mellow out for the evening so if I say anything here contrary to character please take it with a grain of salt.
Some people ride real slow, others ride sort of "okay" others ride quick and their are those who ride real fast and there are those that ride like....well.... "bloody idiots"
I'm not a bloody idiot. Hell my bike won't pop a wheelie at 180kmh though sometimes I wish it would, The feeling of the front rising when you pump the gas is kind of addictive
95% of riders ride to their abilities and the conditions. The pure and simple message is non of us want to die riding our bikes and we all want to come home again after a ride.
We all have people that care a lot about us and the last thing they would want is to see us not come back froma ride. Safety is paramount. Those of us who can afford it wear the latest and best gear and all of us make sure our bikes are safe and up to the task.
Non of us can count on living another minute except by the grace of God. We all push the boundaries when we ride a bike. The human frame was never designed to do more than 20kmh cos that's how fast we can run for any length of time.
We can sit on a bus, a tractor, a plane, a jet ski, skis, hang glider, walk down stairs, cross the road, fall out of bed and our lives could be over in an instant.
If we think that every minute we could die we would never ride a bike of course but we would also never get out of bed.
Live for once mate!!!!!!!!!
No one knows how many minutes are alloted to us in life.... no one knows just how long we may or may not live. Everyone I know that rides loves riding and all of them never exceed their own perosnal limits whatever they may be. Some may seem to others to take foolhardy risks and do dum things when in their own minds they know exactly what they are doing and have every contingency covered.
One day that satellite might fall out of the sky and crush you where you stand. A block of ice may crush you while you sleep in your bed, the neighbours bull might charge through the ranch slider where you sleep and squash you snoring in your bed but hell, we gotta live and sometimes we need some stress relief.
We can't live our lives wrapped up in cotton wool. Shit, I never had a bike helmet when I was young and playgrounds never had rubber and we were allowed outside to play and I'm still here at nearly 52.
Love life. Get on with it. It's full of risks no matter what we do.
Newbies will be newbies and will do whatever they do and bloody well won't listen to someone who might know better.
Ok, I'm done. I'll get my coat on the way out.

Show some love Katman, you hate too much.
As a well-spent day brings happy sleep, so life well used brings happy death

Interesting analogy.
You have had more than your say on the subject of video riding yet continue to regurgitate the same tired story.
No question your grandstanding, trolling and constant derision is a pathetic attempt for attention-it is you katman who wishes the entire [mostly male] KB site look at the size of your E-cock.
And dude it looks pretty dam small.
Steve, I think you are taking things way to seriously.
Relax mate. People will always do what people do. You just can't change that fact.
Enjoy your motorcycling. Others can't detract from that. Chill mate and enjoy your rides and do like a duck. Let the worlds problems slide off your back or you will pop your boiler![]()

What do you mean robbing you of what you love about motorcycling?
Bullshit Paul.
It's those who quite happily snub their noses at what should be considered responsible behaviour that are threatening the future of what we all here supposedly love.
It won't be long, at the current rate, before the government turn around and say "Fuck you lot, no motorcycle over 600ccs can be registered in NZ".
Don't think it could happen? Look at the anti smoking laws, the boy racer laws, the anti smacking laws. The government will do as they see fit.
Not if we all stand up against the nanny state and social engineering and tell the wankers where to go. Democracy may be dead but if we all stood up and were counted then things could be changed. There are way too many pigs snorting at the public trough.
Responsible behaviour? As I said, some ride faster than others and always think they are responsible where others will look and think they are lunatics.
It's all relative and so is life.
